Wow, this portrait session was a dream to say the least! This week I had the opportunity to photograph for a newly engaged couple, named Zoe and Nate. If you haven't seen the proposal photos that i've posted on social media yet, inserted are a few below! Just being a part of the proposal itself was so special, as I've known these two for over a year now. The proposal story itself was the most amazing and creative that I've heard of.
On October 7th, the couple drove out to a family owned property in Elsberry, Missouri for a date (or so Zoe thought!). Little did she know, as I was hiding near by in the brush of a cornfield, ready to snap away with my camera, Nate had something else planned. Around an hour or two in, Nate pointed to a plane in the sky that was flying right above. Zoe looked up at the plane, saw the words "Marry Me?" written on the wings, and when she turned around, Nate was on one knee with the ring! How exciting is that!?
After photographing their proposal, I was beyond excited when they asked me to take their engagement photos too! They wanted a natural setting, similar to that of Elsberry, so we headed out to Forest Park for their personalized engagement session! We were blessed with beautiful lighting, creating a golden and almost magical atmosphere. The gorgeous sunset wasn't all that made this shoot so dreamy, but we had such nice weather and were surrounded by the bright colored foliage in the trees. We even stopped at the church they plan on getting married at to take a few pictures too! It was so difficult narrowing down which photos to share, but below are a few of my favorites!! Congrats again to this happy couple, I'm so excited for their next chapter of life together!
